Summer Season '05, Game 5: 0-6 (Loss)
The Entercommies went down to the most gracious team they have ever faced. Blueballs, the team we met after the previous game, put up stiff resistance against the 'Commies. They were able to isolate pockets of less resistance in the field, and deliver some well placed kicks.
However, the Entercommies kept their heads held high. Several of our players scored solid base hits, even filling the bases twice. Terry provided some great catches and some great distractions, earning, in our opinion, the true Player of the Game. Joe and Jeff also worked to keep the outfield safe, and Victor plucked a line drive right out of the air above his head for a spectacular out.
Next week will be our final game of the season against The Rubbers, another undefeated team. However, they will likely have a better attitude than the Supercalifornia Pants.
Standings as of 7/26: 7th out of 8

Fourth Game Photos!
Summer Season '05, Game 4: 11-4 (Win)
The Entercommies have won their game against The Tigers! Each and every person turned in an outstanding performance. Here are some highlights.
Victor brought the heat on the mound, keeping The Tigers' runs to a minimum. He also managed to score not once, but twice. Victor puts the "Victor" in Victory.
Shawn the Cherry Bomb was again a solid first baseman, showing tremendous hustle on the field and at the plate. She also got carded before the game, demonstrating beauty and brawn.
Joe turned a solid single into a squeaker of a double, sliding into second and shedding some blood along the way. Joe demonstrates the lengths to which the 'Commies will go to achieve their goals.
Cory delivered for the 'Commies, getting a solid base hit, bringing in one of our many RBIs, and even being one of the runs herself. Tigers, meet the Cory Special.
Jeff walked home with Player of the Game for some great outfield catches, as well as our first home run! It was truly an atomic blast. Let's hope The Tigers have kickball insurance.
Matt's three-game Player of the Game streak may have been snapped by Jeff, but that didn't stop him from bringing his A-game, stopping any and all balls that came between second and third.
Jenny provided us with plenty of support on and off the field, as well. She challenged the Supercalifornia Pants, our sworn rivals, to a bar fight following the game. The pirate third baseman merely yelled "Argh!" to her challenge, however.
In the final play of the game, Captain Wes made the game winning catch. His massive chops helped balance him out, grounding him for a supreme catch.
Katie/"Houdini" made the ball disappear, as she bolted to first for a solid base hit, which later became an RBI. She also provided us all with a soundtrack to the game, with rally songs for each batter.
Finally, Terry managed to down a margarita, two tequila shots, and a big mug of beer, all before game time. Oh, and he went 3 for 3 at the plate.
Following the game, many of us took a trip to The Zoo, where we met an interesting cast of characters, including next week's opponent, Blueballs, and a gentleman named simply "Good Apple" who used two golf clubs taped together for a cane.
Everyone brought something to this game, and we look forward to many more wins in the future!

Third Game Photos!
Summer Season '05, Game 3: 2-16 (Loss)
The Entercommies faced off against Supercalifornia Pants last night. Though they lost 16-2, they did beat the spread. Also, the Entercommies doubled their productivity, going from 1 run to 2. And you know communism is all about exceeding previous production levels.
There was plenty of trash talking, though, on both sides. Katy, though she was never on the field, delivered some striking blows to the Pants' egos. Calling their players pirates, wimps, and synonyms for female genetalia, there wasn't a Pants player who escaped her vicious wrath.
Matt again received Player of the Game honors for a stunning double play at second base and some great offensive plays. Matt: Can't stop, won't stop.
Jeff also managed some great catches in the outfield to bring the 'Commies back to the plate time and again.
Wes also scored his first single of his career. All bets are off.
Standings as of 7/12: 8th out of 8
