Fall Season '05, Game 1: 0-5 (Loss)
Yes, it was a shut out for the Entercommies. But it was also our best played loss. Right up to the seventh (and final) inning, the score was a tight 0-0.
In the most thrilling and advantageous play in the entire game, Matt and Joe presented outstanding teamwork. The ball had dropped in mid center field. Matt hurled it to first, but overthrew it. He then outran his own throw, and picked up the ball. He re-threw it to second, and as his opponent rounded second, Joe was there to catch the ball. Once the baserunner realized his overzealousness, it was too late. Joe was hovering next to the base and pummelled him with the ball like he was throwing a lawn chair. Out!
A more disasterous play occured however when Troy, showing great determination and drive, drove right into Lyssa like a hydrogen-powered steamroller. This unfortunately resulted in ground gained for Sucka Punch, but nonetheless demonstrated how far Troy is willing to go for a play.
He was sure to point out later that we need more practice, beer and cigarette in hand (of course).
Standings as of 8/25: 4th of 8

Summer Season '05, Game 6: 4-10 (Loss)
Another loss for the Entercommies, but The Rubbers were great sports against our verbal assault. After a barrage of insults, spirits were high for both teams, despite the fact that the Entercommies only gave The Rubbers 10 pity runs.
Katie also brought her A game, scoring the prolific Player of the Game honors for tremendous catches in the field and pulling a real "Houdini" move at the plate, helping us score four monster runs. Hats off to Houdini!
Standings as of 8/2: 7th out of 8
