Spring Season '06, Game 2: 4-1 (Win)
In an almost-wasn't game, the Entercommies trounced The Ligers 4-1.
The match nearly didn't happen, as the majority of the team ran late. Alicia, Wes, Joe, and Sarah were even involved in a car accident just prior to game time, but instead left the scene just to be on the kickball field in time.
Once there, in the first inning, Joe was quick to get on base, and right behind him was Matt. Wes followed, landing a quick double and bringing both runners home, providing a 2-0 lead.
Later, in the third inning, Matt reached third on a stretched-out triple. Wes then knocked out another base hit, bringing Matt back to the place he knows best: home plate.
In the fifth inning, Adrienne remarked "I just wanna get on base!" Sure enough, during her next trip to the plate, she was quick to get on first. Thanks to Alicia, she also became our fourth and final run.
The Ligers tried to bite back, but their skills in magic only brought them one run in the seventh inning.

Spring Season '06, Game 6: 5-10 (Loss)
In their last game of the Spring Season, the 'Commies faced off against the Third Grade Badasses. An always-defeated team, the Badasses achieved their first and final victory of the season.
The first inning saw a two-run advance from the Badasses. Not to be outdone, however, the 'Commies were quick to tie it up, with an early base hit from Wes, who was later brought home by Alicia. Dan also stretched an otherwise standard base advance from Joe into a three-base run toward home.
The third inning saw three more runs from the Badasses, who nearly hit their stride in baserunning. Returning the favor once again, the Entercommies brought in three more runs thanks to careful determination on the parts of Alicia, Michelle, and Joe especially, who took a nose-dive into second.
However, the fifth inning saw the 'Commies face certain doom, as the Badasses filled the bases early, with no outs, and proceeded to score another five runs, sinking the game and securing their victory.

Summer Season '06, Game 1: 6-3 (Win)
The Entercommies have won the first game of their new season! This time, they faced off against Lord of the Pants.
The Pants scored an early couple of runs against The 'Commies in the first inning, mirroring their last heartbreaking game against The Wannabe Ballers. The 'Commies were quick to regroup and show them a thing or two, however. An early triple from Boone, who was sent home by Joe shortly after, brought our first run of the game.
Later, a crushing tag out at the plate from Wes put a halt on additional scoring. But runs from Scheck and solid base hits by Wes, Alicia, and Colin soon helped to increase our score. Showing great first days out, as well, were Colin and Sarah, both top round draft picks.

Spring Season '06, Game 5: 5-6 (Loss)
The Entercommies experienced a heartbreaking loss at the hands of the Wannabe Ballers on Sunday.
The Ballers scored an early four runs in the first inning, dampening spirits slightly. Matt refused to let this stand, however, and quickly brought Joe home with a homerun, bringing the score to 4-2. Matt also led the defensive charge all game, playing every position from third base to first, pegging bunters along the way.
Boone followed by dropping one clear into Greenwood, bring home himself as well as Alicia, and tying up the game.
The Ballers followed shortly with another run, bringing the score to 5-6.
Sadly was only to follow, however, as the game went into its final inning. With a close score, and Scott being the tying run on third, the stage was set for a close call at home. Joe launched the ball into orbit, sending Scott toward the plate. A quick pickup and throw to home led to a closely contested call, with the Entercommies arguing that Scott went untouched while the ump argued otherwise. This ended the game and broke the 'Commies hearts (along with Joe's sunglasses, which were hurled to the ground in anger over the call).
